GSEP uses Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST)for its training programs ensuring participants are strengthened in their management skills, operational expertise, and organizational sustainability.

Sanitation actors should have a deep sense of commitment to environmental conservation – circularity and sustainability.

GSEP recognizes the need to build capacity within organizations, institutions, communities, and households to improve their response and capability to challenges related to sanitation.

Our capacity-building uses a three-pronged approach;

1. Needs Analysis – using comprehensive research and studies to analyze, identify, and quantify capacity gaps in the sanitation value chain.
2. Innovation and design – using data and actionable insights to develop appropriate interventions and initiatives.
3. Knowledge/Skills transfer – imparting skills, knowledge, and expertise
4. Consulting and Advisory – providing advisory and consulting services for organizational change and/or strengthening.

Our capacity building activities concentrate on actors and institutions in fecal sludge management (FSM) and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM).
